The CIP Long Beach Center is ideally situated near Long Beach City College and California State University Long Beach, and less than two miles away from Long Beach Airport and 30 miles south of Los Angeles. There is an abundance of local amenities such as sporting event venues, museums, and parks, located only a short walking distance away.

College Academics

CIP Long Beach’s academic team provides a comprehensive support system for college-age students on the Autism Spectrum and with Learning Differences to achieve academic success while pursuing studies at a local college, university, or vocational school.

Students have the option of enrolling in several college and university locations; the closest and most accessible are Long Beach City College and the California State University Long Beach (CSULB), which has the longest-established and largest Disabled Student Services department in the CSU system.

CIP Long Beach has an experienced, professional staff with strong educational backgrounds and solid experience working with young adults with Autism, ADHD and other Learning Differences.

Student Life​

CIP Long Beach (AKA #strongbeach) students enjoy whale watching, attending professional and college sporting events, concerts, local festivals, farmers markets, shopping and more. Long Beach is in the greater Los Angeles area offering access to the world of entertainment, tech, and media.

Apartment Living​

Students reside in fully furnished two-bedroom apartments located at The Landing, adjacent to the CIP Long Beach Center. Each student has his or her own bedroom and shares a bathroom, kitchen, and living room with their apartment-mate. Amenities include a swimming pool, parking, and laundry facilities.

CIP Long Beach students reside in fully furnished 2 or 3-bedroom apartments within walking distance to the Center. Each student has their own bedroom and most share a bathroom, kitchen, and living room.

Internships & Jobs

CIP Long Beach helps prepare young adults on the autism spectrum and with ADHD and other learning differences for the world of work. From resume development to job coaching, CIP’s career department supports students while they pursue their interests.
